It Happens Over Time

It happened over time… but how long did it really take fast-growing kudzu vines to shroud a car? It can grow up to a foot a day! Some in Georgia would say: “They must’ve parked it there overnight”. I spotted that car in Pittsburgh, just on a side of a street.

  1. Kudzu is a serious problem in the area where I have a home in Tennessee. Some say you cannot kill it, but that is not true. Two of my neighbors bought property which was heavy with it but they have managed to remove it all. Over time, it will kill trees. Your header painting is lovely.

    • Oh, we were driving through Tennessee last month and saw a lot of infected areas. Funny thing is that it came from Japan to Pittsburgh for a plant show and later moved to the southern States.

  2. Really interesting photo, never knew Kudzu was in the northern states, always thought it was a southern thing. Absolutely love your header photo too, you are very talented!

    • Kudzu was introduced to the United States in 1876 at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Didn’t know it either. I’ve learned about it only because of this photo. I’ve got interested and made some research. Thank you for your comment about my pastel painting!
